This is a film based on home accommodation between a Finnish person who has been voluntarily helping others in every possible way and an Afghan person who has experienced the difficulties challenging with a completely new society/people/cultures and daily life. They meet and being friends for a while, they decide to live together where both could help each other special the Afghan boy who could get more help for understanding by experiencing. This film shows only a small part of their daily lives which they usually had not talked about yet to each other.

Elokuva perustuu runoon jonka Suomessa asunut indonesialainen mies on kirjoittanut suhteestaan suomalaiseen naiseen. Runo pohtii parisuhteeseen liittyviä toiveita ja odotuksia sekä vapauden kokemista.

 

Is a film based on a poem written by an Indonesian man who lived in Helsinki. In this poem, he tells about his love story with a Finnish lady reflecting on his unrealistic expectations for the relationship. The story explores the cultural differences in understanding freedom and how that can become an obstacle for a long term relationship as well as how traveling can change people’s ways of seeing the purpose of life.
The poem was written for this film. The writer wanted to share his experiences with Finnish people to show them a new way of seeing their culture and to thank them for teaching him a valuable lesson.
